Collaborative NeST project reveals unseen social behaviour in chimpanzees
Recent research by Prof. Gesine Reinert and a group of international researchers have illustrated, with network analysis, how a conflict between social groups of chimpanzees has evolved to become permanent. This work is significant because the severity of such social behaviour has previously been unseen in chimpanzees. The work has recently been published in Science (https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.adz4944) and has gained international press attention for its scientific significance: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cr71lkzv49po
